CHRISTMAS IS DIFFERENT IN ARGENTINA!

December 2019,
Greetings from Argentina!
Christmas in Argentina is very different. We have 100-degree weather for Christmas. We celebrate on Christmas Eve, not on Christmas Day. People throw firecrackers at midnight. There are no Christmas gifts, but everyone buys new clothes. The people eat at midnight. They usually eat pizza, sandwiches, chicken and steak. Most unsaved people drink all night.
December has been a very blessed month. We had a special Sunday with 11 first-time visitors. Many were saved! We are working with a lot of drug addicts, and one of them is Matias. He is trying to give up drugs, but he is struggling. He quits them and then starts using them again. Please pray that he has victory over drugs.
Roxana, who is a lady whom I led to Christ, got married on the 28th of December. This was another victory! She was living together with her boyfriend, but because of her new relationship in Christ, she wanted to straighten out her life for the Lord and get married. She brought her entire family to church! Praise the Lord!
I was able to purchase tickets to the United States so that we can begin our meetings to raise support. We will be leaving on the 21st of January. So far, we have 75 meetings set up for 2020. Please pray for more meetings on Wednesday nights and for reliable vehicles.
I hope that you had a great Christmas and a happy New Year! Thank you so much for your prayer support! To God Be the Glory!
Love in Christ,
Joshua and Abigail Owens
